About Our Founder
Shipra's journey is a testament to the transformative power of diverse experiences and exposure to different cultures. Her formative years in Lucknow, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage, played a significant role in shaping her appreciation for history and traditional art forms.
Armed with a degree in Interior and Spatial Design from institutions such as the University of the Arts London and Rachna Sansad, Mumbai, Shipra was equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of design. Her work with reputed design organisations prior to starting her own practice also provided her with invaluable experience and exposure to different design styles and techniques.
However, it was Shipra's discovery of earth architecture that marked a turning point in her career. Her passion for reviving ancient archaic techniques and materials led her to pursue natural building projects that focus on using indigenous materials and techniques in Rajasthan. Through her work, she not only promotes sustainable design practices but also preserves architectural craft heritage of the region.
In addition to her work in natural building projects, Shipra also runs a parallel practice in interior design for residential and commercial projects. Her approach to interior design is rooted in the philosophy of minimalism, which revolves around simple clean lines and avoids unnecessary elements. Shipra draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of her country and incorporates various traditional design techniques and crafts into her work.
